Coinflow just raised $25 million to expand its stablecoin-powered global payments network and take a shot at giants like Stripe and Worldpay.

Key Takeaways

  • Coinflow closed a $25 million Series A funding round led by Pantera Capital, with support from Coinbase Ventures, Jump Capital, and others.
  • The startup aims to transform global payments using stablecoins, offering instant settlement and fraud protection.
  • Coinflow has seen 23x revenue growth since 2024 and now supports transactions in over 170 countries.
  • Funds will be used to expand payout coverage in Asia and Latin America, improve infrastructure, and scale hiring across the U.S. and Europe.

What Happened?

Coinflow, a rising player in the payment service provider space, has secured $25 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Pantera Capital and included notable investors such as Coinbase Ventures, Jump Capital, CMT Digital, Reciprocal Ventures, and The Fintech Fund. With this funding, Coinflow plans to accelerate its stablecoin infrastructure rollout and challenge legacy systems like Stripe and Worldpay.

“If you can perform better and faster, then volume naturally flows to you.”

Aiming to Redefine Payments with Stablecoins

Founded in 2022 by Daniel Lev, Coinflow wants to make stablecoin transactions as seamless and accessible as credit card payments or platforms like Venmo. Lev argues that traditional systems often delay merchant payouts for days, whereas Coinflow’s model settles transactions in seconds.

Using stablecoins like USDC as a middle layer, Coinflow enables instant global pay-ins and payouts while shielding merchants from volatility. Notably, merchants can convert funds in and out of fiat without directly handling stablecoins, making the platform more user-friendly.

The company’s infrastructure integrates with major blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana, and it partners with banks like Cross River and stablecoin issuers to mint, burn, and settle payments in real time.

Explosive Growth and Market Traction

Since its seed round in 2024, Coinflow has:

  • Achieved 23x revenue growth.
  • Reached a multi-billion-dollar annual transaction volume run rate.
  • Expanded to support 170+ countries.
  • Gained traction across verticals such as gaming, fintech, payroll, ecommerce, and remittances.

Coinflow has attracted both crypto-native and mainstream clients. While early growth came from Web3 businesses, recent moves by competitors like Stripe, who acquired stablecoin-focused startups Bridge and Privy have helped normalize the use of crypto infrastructure among traditional merchants.

“It only took four years of us developing the software and people laughing at us,” said Lev. “But now it’s consensus that this is a superpower for moving money.”

Backed by Industry Heavyweights

The funding round saw participation from a range of strategic investors. Ryan Barney, partner at Pantera Capital, called Coinflow a “next-generation PSP” capable of becoming the default infrastructure for global payments, particularly as the cross-border payments market is projected to exceed $320 trillion by 2032.

According to Lev, Coinflow combines AI-driven fraud detection, blockchain proof-of-delivery, and instant settlement to eliminate chargebacks and reduce fraud.

Scaling for the Future

With this new funding, Coinflow aims to:

  • Expand its payout network across Asia and Latin America.
  • Enhance orchestration tools to improve approval rates and merchant growth.
  • Boost liquidity management across currencies.
  • Grow its team in the U.S. and Europe to meet increasing demand.

Lev emphasized that current payment systems are still fragmented and outdated, often hampered by delays, high costs, and limited reach. Coinflow’s unified infrastructure seeks to solve these problems and help businesses thrive in the digital-first economy.

CoinLaw’s Takeaway

I find Coinflow’s mission genuinely exciting. In my experience, the payments industry has been hungry for real innovation that simplifies global commerce without the red tape. What stands out here is Coinflow’s focus on delivering real-world utility, not just building crypto for crypto’s sake. They’re solving a clear pain point for merchants, and if their growth numbers hold, I think they’re well-positioned to grab serious market share from incumbents like Stripe. This feels like one of those rare moments where blockchain actually meets business needs head-on.
