TRON DAO said on September 10, 2026, that B.AI, SUN.io, JustLend DAO and BitTorrent now support MetaMask connections through their dApps. That puts TRON’s lending protocol and its leading decentralized exchange platform within reach of MetaMask users without a wallet switch.
The Big Picture
- TRON DAO confirmed that four ecosystem apps, B.AI, SUN.io, JustLend DAO and BitTorrent, now accept MetaMask wallet connections.
- MetaMask added native TRON support earlier this year across its mobile app and browser extension, which set up this second step.
- JustLend DAO, TRON’s lending protocol, holds more than $7 billion in total value locked (TVL), according to TRON DAO.
- TRON hosts more than $94 billion in circulating USDT, the stablecoin issued by Tether, according to TRON DAO.
- MetaMask’s Dan Rosario tied the rollout to self-custody, where users keep control of their own keys.
Four TRON dApps Now Accept MetaMask Connections
TRON DAO, the community-governed DAO behind the TRON blockchain, announced the expansion in a press release. It builds on MetaMask’s earlier launch of native TRON support, which let users manage TRON-based assets in the wallet and brought TRON to the user base.
Wallet support and app support are separate pieces of plumbing. A wallet can carry a network, but each app on that network still has to wire in the wallet’s connector before a user can sign in and transact, and that app-side work is what these four projects have now done.
MetaMask, built by Consensys, framed the change around user control. Dan Rosario, Ecosystem Engagement Manager at MetaMask said:
What Each App Brings to MetaMask Users?
The four apps do very different jobs, and only two of them disclosed a size figure.
| App | What it does | Figure disclosed |
|---|---|---|
| B.AI | Financial infrastructure that gives AI agents their own identities and lets them transact independently | Not disclosed |
| SUN.io | Decentralized platform running the SunSwap V4 exchange and automated market maker | Over $650 million TVL |
| JustLend DAO | Lending protocol for borrowing, lending and staking | The $7 billion TVL cited above |
| BitTorrent | Cross-chain interoperability through BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) and storage through the BitTorrent File System (BTFS) | Not disclosed |
JustLend DAO carries the largest disclosed figure in the group, set against a network total of over $27 billion in TVL that TRON DAO cites from TRONSCAN, the TRON block explorer. DeFi data tracker DefiLlama puts all three numbers much lower, at $3.70 billion for JustLend, $506 million for SUN and $5.46 billion for the TRON network, a gap that points to different counting methods.
SUN.io adds trading to that lending base, so a MetaMask user can now swap and borrow on TRON from one wallet.
B.AI sits apart from the rest. Its pitch is autonomous payments and onchain execution for AI agents, so a MetaMask connection there is likely to matter most to developers testing agent payments.
TRON’s Stablecoin Base Meets an Ethereum Wallet
TRON’s case to MetaMask users rests on settlement volume. TRON DAO says the network processes more than $23 billion in average daily transfer volume and counts over 402 million total user accounts.
MetaMask comes from the other side of the industry. Consensys, founded in 2014 by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, built the wallet as part of its Ethereum product suite.
That corporate home is changing. Consensys said on September 9 that it will split into two companies by the end of 2026, with MetaMask becoming a standalone company led by Lubin, so TRON’s app integrations land during the planned Consensys and MetaMask split.
The release leaves open questions:
- Does each of the four apps support both the MetaMask mobile app and the browser extension?
- Which JustLend DAO functions, staking included, work through a MetaMask connection today?
- Does B.AI accept MetaMask for agents themselves, or only for the people who run them?
- How many MetaMask users have added TRON accounts since native support went live?
Users who already hold TRON assets in MetaMask can check that the wallet shows the TRON network before connecting, and confirm they’re on each app’s official domain before signing any approval.
CoinLaw’s Takeaway
This rollout lowers the cost of trying TRON for people who already use MetaMask. They don’t need a separate TRON specific wallet to reach these four apps, and they keep the same self-custody setup they use on Ethereum.
TRON’s appeal rests on stablecoin settlement, and MetaMask’s rests on self-custody for a user base built around Ethereum. Linking the two inside lending and trading apps tests whether a familiar interface pulls Ethereum-side users into TRON DeFi.
