Bybit has expanded its Proof of Reserves reporting to include 10 additional tokens, bringing the total number of covered assets to 50 while maintaining reserve ratios above 100% for major cryptocurrencies.

Key Takeaways

  • Bybit has added 10 new tokens to its Proof of Reserves reporting, increasing total coverage to 50 tokens.
  • The latest report shows more than $16.5 billion in verified mainstream digital assets as of July 22, 2026.
  • Independent cybersecurity firm Hacken verified the report, confirming that reserve ratios for major assets remained above 100%.
  • The expanded reporting is designed to improve transparency by covering the 50 highest assets under management on the exchange.

What Happened?

Bybit, the world’s second largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has expanded the scope of its Proof of Reserves reporting by adding 10 more digital assets to its transparency disclosures. The update comes alongside the release of the exchange’s 38th Proof of Reserves report, which reflects user asset balances and on chain holdings as of July 22, 2026.

The latest disclosure increases the number of supported assets in the reserve report from 40 to 50 tokens, giving users greater visibility into how customer deposits are backed across the platform.

Bybit Expands Transparency With More Token Coverage

The newly added tokens are GRAM, XAUT, HYPE, STABLE, ENA, ARB, ASTER, ONDO, AAVE, and USD1. According to Bybit, the selection process focuses on the platform’s highest assets under management, ensuring that the Proof of Reserves report reflects the digital assets most widely held by customers.

With this expansion, the report now covers the 50 largest assets under management on the exchange. The move is intended to provide users with broader insight into reserve balances while strengthening confidence in the platform’s custody practices.

Proof of Reserves has become an increasingly important transparency tool across the cryptocurrency industry. Exchanges use these reports to demonstrate that customer liabilities are fully backed by assets held in publicly verifiable blockchain wallets.

Reserve Ratios Remain Above One Hundred Percent

The latest report, released in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, shows that Bybit continues to maintain reserve ratios exceeding 100 percent for its largest cryptocurrencies.

Some of the key figures include:

  • USDT reserve ratio: 105 percent
  • User assets: approximately 4.71 billion USDT
  • Wallet holdings: approximately 4.98 billion USDT
  • USDC reserve ratio: 174 percent
  • User assets: approximately 626.4 million USDC
  • Wallet holdings: approximately 1.09 billion USDC
  • BTC reserve ratio: 104 percent
  • User assets: 56,438 BTC
  • Wallet holdings: 59,064 BTC
  • ETH reserve ratio: 102 percent
  • User assets: 541,412 ETH
  • Wallet holdings: 553,776 ETH

These figures indicate that the exchange holds more digital assets than the total customer liabilities reported for each of these major cryptocurrencies.

Independent Verification Supports Latest Report

The exchange stated that the latest Proof of Reserves report was independently verified by Hacken, a cybersecurity and blockchain security firm. The verification process provides an additional layer of assurance by confirming that reported reserve balances match publicly verifiable blockchain data and corresponding user liabilities.

According to the report, the total value of mainstream digital assets covered exceeded $16.5 billion as of July 22, 2026. Bybit also noted that reserve balances and verification records are published on its official Proof of Reserves page and updated on a recurring basis to provide users with continued visibility into the exchange’s financial position.

As institutional participation and retail adoption continue to grow across the digital asset market, Proof of Reserves reporting has become a widely followed measure of exchange transparency and solvency. Expanding the number of covered assets allows users to verify a larger portion of customer holdings while reinforcing confidence in how those assets are managed.

CoinLaw’s Takeaway

In my experience, Proof of Reserves has evolved from being an optional transparency feature into an important trust signal for cryptocurrency exchanges. I found that expanding coverage to include more assets, while maintaining reserve ratios above 100 percent and using independent verification, gives users greater confidence in how their funds are being safeguarded. As the digital asset industry continues to mature, exchanges that consistently improve transparency are likely to strengthen their credibility with both retail and institutional investors.
