BitMine provided its latest holdings update for August 10, 2026
$11.6 billion in total crypto + “moonshots”:
– 5,805,238 ETH at $1,928 per ETH per ETH (per @coinbase)
– 209 Bitcoin (BTC)
– $180 million stake in Beast Industries @MrBeast
– $69 million stake in Eightco…
That keeps Bitmine the world’s largest Ethereum treasury and the second-largest crypto treasury overall, trailing only Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), which reportedly holds 842,138 BTC worth about $59 billion, according to the release. Bitmine’s ETH stack has grown steadily since it disclosed 4.66 million ETH in June and $11.1 billion in total holdings in early July.
BMNR shares traded around $18.29 in Monday’s session, down roughly 2% on the day and about 74% below their 52-week high of $71.74, according to Google Finance. At that price, Bitmine’s roughly $11.1 billion market capitalization sits below the $11.6 billion in holdings the company just disclosed, the same gap Chairman Thomas “Tom” Lee has cited to justify the buyback.
Lee said in the release:
The company calls the buyback the largest ever executed by any Ethereum, Bitcoin, or crypto treasury firm.
Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ETH, worth $9.8 billion at the same $1,928 price, through MAVAN, its Ethereum staking platform. The company’s own staking operations posted a 7-day yield of 2.63% annualized, which Lee said projects to $257 million in annual staking revenue.
Lee also pointed to Washington. “We are disappointed that the CLARITY Act will not see a Senate vote before the August recess, but financial markets seem more focused on the recent softer inflation and jobs data,” he said, adding that odds of a September Federal Reserve rate cut have fallen to 40% from 75% two weeks earlier. The bill’s stalled path through the Senate has weighed on crypto-linked equities beyond Bitmine.
Bitmine added 7,391 ETH over the past week, extending a streak of weekly ETH purchases that now runs 14 months since the company’s June 30, 2025 pivot to an Ethereum treasury strategy. The next checkpoint lands with the Fed’s September rate decision, the same catalyst Lee says could determine whether Bitmine’s stock finally closes the gap with its own balance sheet.
