Bybit Boosts BTC Earn to 10 APR as Bitcoin Tops 78 000

Bybit opened a 10% APR fixed-term Bitcoin Earn product on August 24, 2026, capped at a combined 243.33 BTC and closing August 28. The exchange also launched Spot and Derivatives leaderboards paying up to 200,000 USDT.

The Big Picture

  • Bybit is offering a 10% annual rate on fixed-term Bitcoin savings until August 28, against a 243.33 BTC pool cap.
  • Individual users can subscribe between 0.001 BTC and 1 BTC, and places are allocated first-come, first-served.
  • Two new leaderboards for Spot and Derivatives traders share a prize pool worth up to 200,000 USDT.
  • Bitcoin held above $78,000 following a weekly gain of more than 22%, Bybit said in the announcement.
  • Bybit’s announcement does not name the macro and policy catalysts it credits for the price move.

Bybit caps its 10% Bitcoin offer at 243.33 BTC

Bybit, which describes itself as the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, set narrow terms on the offer. Bull Incoming pays a 10% APR (annual percentage rate) on the platform’s flagship fixed-term BTC Earn product, runs through August 28, 2026, and is capped at a combined pool of 243.33 BTC. Subscriptions run from 0.001 BTC to 1 BTC per user on a first-come, first-served basis.

The per user ceiling does most of the shaping here. A 1 BTC limit holds any single subscriber to a small position, and the pool closes to new deposits once it fills or the window ends, whichever comes first. Bybit has run timed hold-and-earn promotions before, including a campaign built around RLUSD.

The offer lands on a sharp price move. Bybit said Bitcoin surged past $75,000 on August 21 and rose above $77,000 for the first time since May, holding that range across the two trading days that followed. The company credits a mix of macro and policy catalysts for the run without naming them.

Trading volume decides the 200,000 USDT split

The second offer pays traders on activity. Two leaderboards cover Spot and Derivatives pairs, registration is required, and enrolled participants are ranked on trading volume for a share of a pool worth up to 200,000 USDT. A separate track gives users who complete daily and recurring tasks entry to a lucky draw worth up to 100 USDT.

Volume ranked contests concentrate rewards among the platform’s highest-turnover accounts, while the Earn product pays for doing nothing at all. The company said it is “building a New Financial Platform that rewards holders for their persistence and traders for their initiative.“

What the announcement leaves unstated?

Bybit’s announcement omits terms a subscriber would need. The 10% figure is an annualized rate on a fixed-term product whose length the announcement does not state, so the payout on any subscription depends on a duration the exchange has not published. The price levels cited also come from Bybit itself, with no data source named.

  • How long is the fixed term, and when does subscribed BTC unlock?
  • Is the boosted rate paid in BTC or in another asset?
  • Does the 10% sit on top of the base Earn rate or replace it?
  • What decides whether the leaderboard pool reaches the full 200,000 USDT?
  • Which jurisdictions count as eligible for either offer?

Users already holding BTC on the exchange can check the lock-up length, redemption rules, and regional eligibility on the product page before subscribing, and confirm how any existing Earn position interacts with the promotional rate.

CoinLaw’s Takeaway

Both offers read as marketing spend timed to a price move, and the structure shows it. A four-day window, a capped pool, and a 1 BTC per user ceiling describe a deposit acquisition campaign more than a durable yield product. The mechanism is plain: a boosted rate pulls idle BTC onto the platform during the exact stretch when holders are most tempted to move it somewhere else.

Competition for balances is the wider context. Idle BTC on an exchange earns nothing while it sits, and a promotional rate is one of the few levers that shifts those balances between venues, a movement that eventually surfaces in exchange rankings by trading volume. For holders, the scope stays narrow: the offer turns a bounded slice of a BTC position into a fixed return over a short window, and the product page carries the terms that decide whether that return amounts to much.
