The long wait for a tech development ends today! Nick Woodman’s foundation has been excellent throughout the world with its innovation and out-of-the-box product range since its foundation in the year 2002. GoPro yet astonishes us with its innovation under the product title Volta.

Volta is an all-purpose tool that GoPro Company has announced as a brand updated accessory designed for action cameras. It is an adjustable grip handle or tripod and wireless or wired remote, and also it has a battery with a capacity of 4,900mAh. The company claims that the Volta tool doubles your camera’s battery life. It provides around 4 hours of recording when the internal battery is fully charged, even if you record a 5.3K footage.

The Volta contains an embedded USB-C cable used to connect to the USB-C port and charge your GoPro camera with the press of a button. Also, a USB-C port can use for charging its internal battery. According to GoPro Company, the inbuilt battery can be fully charged within two and a half hours; also, it has a quick-charge option that can charge the battery from 0 to 60% in less than an hour.

The Volta tool has an inbuilt remote that allows you to begin recording via accessing the camera’s shooting modes. This option can be used in both means, that is when the GoPro is plugged into Volta or wirelessly with Bluetooth. (The Volta’s remote that wirelessly connects can also be used with GoPro’s 360-degree Max camera and older Hero models if you combine it with the company’s stand-alone remote.) Some indicator lights above the remote display how much battery life is left and if your camera is in the photo, video, or time-lapse mode. According to GoPro Company, the range should be roughly 30 meters away; however, the range “may be impacted while recording with frame rates and higher resolutions.”

Since numerous electronic gadgets are available on the market, it is not astonishing that the GoPro’s website advises that submerging the Volta will destroy it and your camera. The GoPro firm doesn’t have an official water resistance rating. The Volta’s manual describes its model as “weather resistant” when connected to the camera- basically, the Volta tool is suitable for splashes but not for swimming. GoPro Company also advises that your camera is not waterproof when equipped with the USB-passthrough feature included in the Volta. The Volta tool is not waterproof when used in the wireless remote mode.

The Volta tool comes with the top mount to connect the GoPro Camera at the top and an adjustable side mount that can be popped out (with a tricky-looking button) and used to mount the Volta tool with various GoPro accessories such as bikes or backpacks mounts. It also has a 1/4-20 screw mount on the bottom side to be attached to standard filming equipment such as a tripod. Most users will probably want to use the Volta as a self-contained attachment, as it can be folded up and used as a handgrip to get the camera a little further away from your body. It also has two tiny legs that extend out to form a mini-tripod.

According to some Volta tool users, “it is a well-designed combo of some popular GoPro accessories. The GoPro Company recently launched the Enduro battery, which has improved battery life, particularly at cold temperatures. Despite having the Enduro battery, during the recent trip, some users found that they need to carry multiple batteries through a whole day of capturing long runs in 4K on the slope on a recent ski trip.”
