UNICORN (“Universal Node to ICO Research & Network”), a new initiative aiming to regulate blockchain use and ICOs, has been launched by The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).

The goal of UNICORN is to provide ICO organisers with a regulatory framework “allowing the development of their operations and to ensure the protection of actors and investors wishing to participate.” the AMF’s statement reads.

Furthermore, the agency is also looking to increase its expertise on the subject of blockchain by encouraging academics to research it, with the first impact analysis to be published within a year.
