The launch event of the Galaxy S23 is still two months away. However, a recent leak has claimed that Samsung will launch the new Galaxy S23 series on 1st February 2023. There’s a new motive to be eager about the next generation of handsets after this year’s Galaxy S22’s poor performance issues have damaged Samsung’s reputation. As per the reports, all Galaxy S23 handsets will function on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip Qualcomm.

There have been rumors doing the rounds that the Ultra might have an exclusive variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which will be accessible to other Android vendors. The recent leak shows that the base Galaxy S23 handset will get the same special System-On-Chip (SoC) variant. However, the standards will not be as good as the S23 Ultra, which indicates a potential issue. Well-known Samsung leaker Ice Universe has revealed evidence that the Galaxy S23 series will have an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC alternative.

Individually, other leaks for the chip driving the Vivo X90 Pro+ have shown that the new Qualcomm silicon will give tough competition to the iPhone 14 Pro’s A16 Bionic. In December, SamMobile found a new Geekbench listing that displayed scores for the basic model. In November, reports showed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will log at a top of 3.36GHz for the high-speed chip core.

Comparatively, the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip functions at a top speed of 3.19GHz. The new Galaxy S23 standard test has shown the same 3.36GH frequency for the high-speed CPU core. Furthermore, the GPU is also over-logged, functioning at 719MHz instead of the 680MHz speed the chip should acquire. Nevertheless, the Galaxy S23 functioning on this overly logged chip only recorded 1188 and 3099 in single-core and multi-core tests, which is much below the 1504 and 4580 scores of the Ultra. And it has come as surprise as both devices have the same overly logged Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

Another major highlight of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is its new 200MP primary camera. As per the report, the new sensor can take special low-light images. A leaked image sample from the Galaxy S23 Ultra has indicated massive improvements in the detailing of images. However, the complete picture of camera specifications will be known only after the formal announcement.

However, tech experts say that there is another scenario to reflect that the basic Samsung Galaxy S23 model might not feature great cooling. In such a situation, performance throttling is more likely to happen in the model. The same issue occurred in the Galaxy S22 that was launched this year and the Exynos 2200 models as well dealt with the same issue suffered greatly.

Renders have discovered that there will be some minor design changes in the new Galaxy S23 Ultra. Many reports from tech geeks have revealed that the Korean giant plans to put the Galaxy S23 series on sale by 17th February 2023.
