SEC, CFTC chiefs to talk cryptocurrencies with the Senate

An upcoming hearing at the Senate Banking Committee will allow the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission chefs, Jay Clayton and J. Christopher Giancarlo to present their take on cryptocurrencies regulations and their efforts in preventing crypto-related scams while allowing the new technology to develop.

Both chairmen have previously expressed concerns about the lack of oversight over cryptocurrency financial product making potential investors an easy prey for fraudsters and see maintaining the balance between allowing innovation and legal protection of the market players as their main challenge.
