Russian Ministry is working on blockchain regulations

A yet to be published report from Russia’s Ministry of Communications indicate that some form of legal framework for blockchain technology might be in the works with 2019 cited as the date for its delivery. 

Earlier this year the country’s prime minister and former president Dmitry Medvedev tasked the Communications Ministry, Ministry of Economic Development and the Russian Development Bank with researching blockchain.

“I’m not against the use of [blockchain] technologies that have become widely circulated and which may thus decisively change our lives. It’s quite an interesting story, but so far we do not see results,” Medvedev was quoted as saying.
