# GoMining Lets Simple Earn Users Take Yield as Bitcoin Hashrate

GoMining on September 9, 2026, began letting Simple Earn users take their crypto yield as terahash (TH), a unit of Bitcoin mining power, instead of BTC. The TH goes straight into a digital miner the user already owns.

## The Big Picture

- GoMining’s Simple Earn product can now pay rewards as mining power added to a user’s digital miner.

## GoMining Adds a Hashrate Payout to Simple Earn

GoMining, the Cyprus-based Bitcoin mining platform, sells **tokenized hashrate** through digital miners backed by real hardware in data centers. The company says it serves more than **5.6 million users** and ranks among the top 10 Bitcoin mining entities by hashrate. Its model sits inside the wider [cloud mining market](https://coinlaw.io/cloud-mining-statistics/), where buyers own a share of machine power without running any hardware themselves.

Simple Earn is the yield feature inside the GoMining app. It pays rewards on balances users already hold in **Bitcoin** (BTC), **Tether** (USDT), **USDC**, **Ethereum** (ETH), **Solana** (SOL), **BNB** and **Gram** (formerly **[Toncoin](https://coinlaw.io/toncoin-statistics/)**), with no lock-up and no withdrawal limits. GoMining picks and monitors the onchain protocols behind the yield and rebalances allocations when needed, according to its [Simple Earn documentation](https://docs.gomining.com/en/product/wallet/simple-earn).

Rewards are calculated from a user’s balance and the asset’s current APR, and by default they arrive in BTC. With the new setting, a user switches the reward type to **TH** and picks the miner that receives the power. Rewards still accrue in 4-hour cycles, but the **TH** lands once a day in a single upgrade, priced at the **TH rate** at the moment that upgrade happens.

 ## Four Rules Decide Which Miners Qualify

The TH option carries more conditions than the BTC default. Each 4-hour cycle converts only if its reward reaches **$0.10** in value. A smaller cycle pays in [BTC](https://coinlaw.io/bitcoin-statistics/), and the shortfall doesn’t carry over to the next one.

The receiving miner has to clear all four of these checks:

- **It isn’t listed for sale.**
- **It has no active Mine Now, Pay Later (MNPL) installment plan.**
- **It runs at 20 W/TH efficiency or better, meaning 20 watts or less for each terahash of power.**
- **It still has room to grow before hitting maximum power.**

In practice, the rules favor users with larger balances and efficient miners that carry no installment plan. A holder whose miner is still on an installment plan can’t route yield into it, and a small balance may rarely clear the per-cycle floor. Switching back to BTC takes effect from the next 4-hour cycle.

## What Changes When Yield Becomes Hashrate?

A BTC reward is a balance the user can hold or withdraw. A TH reward becomes part of a miner, so what it’s worth depends on the TH price on the day of conversion and on the Bitcoin that extra power produces afterward. As with other [cloud mining arrangements](https://coinlaw.io/how-cloud-mining-works/), the user holds power in machines that GoMining operates on their behalf.

GoMining frames the feature as a first. The company said in its announcement that the launch makes it “**the first platform to convert a standard crypto yield product’s rewards directly into owned mining power rather than paying out only in the underlying asset.**” The announcement doesn’t name the products it compared against, and the claim rests on GoMining’s own statement.

Several details are missing from the announcement:

- **What TH price will the daily upgrade use, and where can users see it before converting?**
- **How long will the 10% bonus stay at its current level?**
- **What happens to pending rewards if the chosen miner is listed for sale or reaches maximum power between upgrades?**
- **Does the added TH change the miner’s ongoing maintenance charges?**

Users who turn on TH rewards should confirm their chosen miner meets all four conditions and watch whether their cycles actually clear the threshold, since sub-threshold cycles keep paying BTC.

## CoinLaw’s Takeaway

The option keeps yield inside **GoMining’s own mining product**. Users who already own digital miners can add power using balances that were sitting idle, and the current bonus gives them a reason to try it. The trade is that the reward takes on TH pricing at the daily upgrade, which a BTC payout doesn’t.

The eligibility rules narrow who benefits from the switch. Miners under installment plans, miners listed for sale and less efficient machines are shut out, and small balances often fall under the per-cycle floor. For holders with sizable balances and efficient miners, a fair comparison of the two reward types will depend on GoMining publishing clearer TH pricing and bonus terms.
