Gibraltar to regulate blockchain

Blockchain Europe Gibraltar Regulations

In a recently issued statement, the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission announced the creation of a regulatory framework on Blockchain and distributed ledger technology – to be fully implemented by January 2018.

In the same statement, the GFSC also issued a warning to the investors advising them to approach the highly speculative ICO investments with caution or leaving them to professionals.

Gibraltar’s regulator’s move follows a similar action from other governments across the world.
