A French government research group to study blockchain

France Stratégie, France’s research and strategy development agency on socioeconomic matters, will spearhead the government’s efforts to explore blockchain technology.

In its recent statement France Stratégie announced that  the agency’s special blockchain working group will study existing methods of blockchain implementation, benefits of its applications in the public-sector as well as offer ideas on how the government can support blockchain development.

The group will comprise almost 40 people from both government and private sectors and is expected to deliver its findings by August.
