The first blockchain-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been launched on Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange Arca by Reality Shares Advisors and Amplify Trust ETF. Amplify’s Transformational Data Sharing ETF (BLOK) started close to 20 USD while Reality Shares’ Nasdaq NextGen Economy ETF (BLCN) opened higher, at 24.20 USD.

While both ETFs will invest in blockchain-based companies only, their prospectuses stated that their investment activity will be limited to companies with a higher than 200 million USD market capitalization and with a six-month daily trading average of 1 million USD at the least.
