Cryptocurrencies have no value says The Bank of France

In a recently published report from The Bank of France a ban on “taking part in deposits and loans in crypto-assets.” for insurance companies, banks and trust companies is suggested. The report goes further by suggesting a total prohibition all marketing of “crypto-asset” financial products to all except the “most informed investors.”

The report describes cryptocurrencies as possessing “very little value” and posing the risk of being used to criminal ends due to their anonymity. Furthermore it calls the recent spike in cryptpo currencies prices a “speculative bubble”
