The 2016 blockade of by the Vyborgsky District Court of St. Petersburg will be reviewed as ordered by the country’s Supreme Court.

The service has been accused of undermining Russia’s official currency, the Rubel, by claiming that cryptocurrencies are a means of payment and accumulation. The court failed to invite the defendants to the trial, inform them of their decision or grant a law to appeal.

Previously a decision to block 40 bitcoin-related sites has been overturned by the same court after a review.
