# Bybit Offers 12% Trailing Yield Through nOPAL RWA Earn

Bybit listed nOPAL on its RWA Earn platform on August 27, 2026, opening yield from Brazilian credit card receivables to stablecoin holders. The product arrives with a trailing 30-day yield of roughly 12% and a time-limited promotional boost on top.

## The Big Picture

- nOPAL holds over $70 million in total value locked, built on short-duration receivables from everyday card spending in Brazil.
- BlackOpal Finance manages the strategy, which carries an investment-grade risk rating from credit assessor Cicada Partners.
- Bybit users can subscribe from 500 USDC, with no subscription or redemption fees, once identity verification is complete.
- A one-month launch event pays the promotional boost daily in USDC to subscribers’ Funding Accounts.
- BRL/USD currency exposure is hedged through institutional non-deliverable forwards, so returns are received in USD.

## Bybit puts Brazilian card receivables on RWA Earn

nOPAL runs as a vault on Plume, an open finance platform, managed by BlackOpal Finance. The strategy pays Brazilian merchants upfront cash for their future card receivables, buying each one at a discount to its settlement value; when regulated acquirers settle those transactions through the Visa and Mastercard networks, the full amount flows directly to **BlackOpal** and the discount becomes the yield.

Payment comes from acquirers rather than from the merchant, so investors carry no consumer credit risk. **Central Bank of Brazil** rules require settlement to be paid to the registered holder of a receivable, which gives **nOPAL** a different risk profile from unsecured merchant lending. Every receivable is bought outright and held in a bankruptcy-remote structure, and **BlackOpal** has purchased more than **7,000** of them since November 2025 with zero defaults, according to [the launch announcement](https://announcements.bybitglobal.com/en/article/rwa-earn-introduces-nopal-with-a-limited-time-5-apr-launch-boost--art79444db662ce/). Redemptions are accepted daily and settle within one to five business days, supported by a liquidity sleeve of USCC, nTBILL and cash.

 ## What the launch boost actually pays?

The boost starts at **+5% APR** on top of nOPAL’s underlying returns and may fall as participation grows, with the live rate shown on the product page at subscription. The event runs for one month from launch, and only users who have completed individual or business verification qualify. Institutional accounts and market makers are excluded.

Anyone already subscribed should check the displayed boost rate before adding funds. The product is not principal protected, and the headline yield is historical rather than promised. The promotion follows earlier Bybit yield campaigns such as its [RLUSD hold-and-earn event](https://coinlaw.io/bybit-rlusd-hold-earn/).

## The institutional pipeline behind the vault

BlackOpal has secured commitments of over **$300 million** from Web3-native and traditional allocators, to be deployed across the next 12 months. Jason Dehni, CEO of BlackOpal said:

“

BlackOpal’s core mission is to bring institutional-grade emerging market asset-backed finance to global capital markets.

For Bybit, the listing extends an RWA Earn shelf launched in June that already offers tokenized bond funds from PIMCO and CMB International. That shelf competes for a slice of the capital tracked in broader [stablecoin market statistics](https://coinlaw.io/stablecoin-statistics/), where idle balances have become the industry’s most contested prize.

## CoinLaw’s Takeaway

Local currency credit markets like Brazil’s stayed out of reach for crypto capital because of two problems, currency risk and slow settlement. **nOPAL** packages a hedge and a liquidity sleeve around both, which is the real product here. The receivables themselves are ordinary. What is new is that a retail stablecoin holder can reach them from an exchange account at a 500 [USDC](https://coinlaw.io/usd-coin-statistics/) minimum.

The record is strong but short: a purchase history of under a year says little about how the portfolio behaves in a stressed Brazilian consumer cycle, and the 12% trailing figure is not a forward promise. Still unknown: how fast the boost decays as deposits grow, and whether yields hold once the institutional pipeline deploys. Bybit’s scale will test nOPAL’s capacity quickly.
