# AvengerDAO Expands BNB Chain Security Marketplace and Bug Bounty Program

AvengerDAO opened a marketplace linking BNB Chain builders to 11 vetted security firms and added a bug bounty program, building on three straight years of falling hack losses.

**AvengerDAO**, BNB Chain’s security initiative, said Wednesday it opened a marketplace that puts 11 vetted security firms in one place for any project building on the network. Projects can contact a firm directly or ask **AvengerDAO’s** admin team for help. No application is required.

The expansion adds two components to AvengerDAO’s existing risk-scoring work: **BNB-SS**, a five-pillar security standard, and a bug bounty program. Together with the marketplace, those form AvengerDAO’s three pillars, AvengerDAO said in the announcement.

 ## A standard replaces a patchwork of one-off audits

BNB-SS grades projects against five categories: governance, access control, oracle integrations, secure development, and bridge security. “**Instead of figuring out security requirements from scratch, teams can build against a shared checklist and complete a compliance review,**” AvengerDAO said in the post.

A project that clears the review earns an official BNB-SS badge. The badge does not guarantee a project won’t fail. No badge does, AvengerDAO said. It raises the floor for what launching on BNB Chain means.

The bug bounty program gives researchers a direct channel to report vulnerabilities after launch, with rewards scaled to severity, keeping an incentive running even on a project that already cleared an audit.

The push builds on a steady drop in BNB Chain hack and scam losses. Damages fell 85% in 2023 to $161.17 million across 414 incidents, according to [AvengerDAO’s 2023 security report](https://www.bnbchain.org/en/blog/bnb-smart-chain-2023-security-report-by-avengerdao-contributed-by-hashdit-certik-ancilia-and-salus-security) with **HashDit**, **CertiK**, **Ancilia**, and **Salus Security**. Losses dropped another 69% in 2024 and 56% in 2025, AvengerDAO said, as its risk-scoring API and partner firms caught more threats earlier.

AvengerDAO’s member firms issued **38 million** risk warnings across platforms including **PancakeSwap** and **Trust Wallet** in 2023 alone, helping recover **$7.3 million** from incidents that year, part of a broader [crypto scam recovery](https://coinlaw.io/crypto-scam-recovery-success-statistics/) push across the industry. AvengerDAO first launched in September 2022 as a shared risk-scoring layer feeding alerts into BscScan and partner wallets. ## What teams already on BNB Chain should check now?

Nothing changes for a team already under contract with one of the 11 partner firms. **AvengerDAO** does not sit between a project and an auditor it already works with. A team without a formal review can start today: check admin keys, bridge configuration, and governance setup against the five **BNB-SS categories** before requesting a compliance review.

A pre-launch security review service is next. AvengerDAO said it is in development and will be announced separately once ready, with the marketplace and BNB-SS the two pieces live today.
